Saugus Special Town Meeting highlights include the passing of articles to fund repairs for a fire engine, to fund improvements to water pipelines along Lincoln Avenue, to fund the training of police officers to replace ones retiring, to fund Saugus' share of the Saugus River Dredging project, and to fund additional money to the school system. The conveyance of four small parcels of Saugus conservation land to the current owner of the Vinegar Hill area was not granted (26 - 16, 1 abstained), but the intention to purchase the Vinegar Hill land was reaffirmed in a 28 - 15 vote.

It's been awhile since the last update on the Saugus SETI team has been posted here. Saugus area machines have already contributed over 1175 results, utilizing over three years' worth of CPU time that would have otherwise been wasted.
