New Year's Day Hike 1- 3 PM Ring in the year 2004 at Breakheart Reservation with a guided hike through the park. Starting from the Saugus entrance. Complimentary clam chowder and refreshments will be provided by Kelly's Roast Beef. Cosponsored by the Dept. of Conservation and Recreation, The Friends of Breakheart Reservation and Kelly's Roast Beef.

The Saugus Historical Commission Meeting will be at 6:30 PM in the Local History Room of the Saugus Public Library.

The Saugus Historical Society Board of Directors will be discussing various things, not the least of which is on what nights the remaining 2004 Board Meetings will take place. Any interested parties in the general public are of course welcome.

The Saugus Housing Authority Meeting will be at 6:00 PM in the Heritage Heights Conference Room.

The Chamber will be welcoming new officers and board members, presenting a scholarship, presenting a donation to the Vitale Memorial Fund, and much more... Our guests include Andrew Bisignani (Town Manager), Mark Falzone (State Representative), Kathi-Anne Reinstein (State Representative), and our new Board of Selectmen.

Come to Breakheart and learn who inhabited this beautiful area before the Europeans arrived. Be sure to wear sturdy footwear as the hike will take us off trail. Meet at the Vocational School parking lot off Farm Street, Wakefield.
