We just want to remind everyone that if they're submitting a link to Saugus.net to double check that the link is valid and correct. We've had quite a few submissions recently that had either missing or broken links.

The denial-of-service attack on ShellTown continues, but we believe that everything is more-or-less stable in spite of it. If anything seems out of the ordinary, please let us know.

If you've been noticing any oddities or slowness here at Saugus.net (or ShellTown) lately, they should be clearing up soon as we've found the cause... It turns out that EarthLink has been erroneously redirecting a few of its domains (including sunspot.tiac.net, max.tiac.net, shell1.tiac.net, and shell2.tiac.net) to us, and we've been weathering the bulk of a denial-of-service attack most likely intended for them. While the ShellTown machine has been the one primarily affected, there has been some residual effect as well on other Saugus sites. EarthLink promises us they'll fix their records and stop forwarding us their data within twenty-four hours.

The Saugus High School Alumni Association site was updated today.

Although we neglected to mention it earlier, the Saugus Curbside Recycling and Yard Waste Collection page was updated the first of this month.

More entries were added to the Dictionary of Filename Extensions today.

WISE Foundation Teacher Representative Sherri Raftery has asked us to post the following:

The World International Student Exchange Program is seeking host families for 15 male and female students ages 14 - 18 years old arriving from Spain on Tuesday June 27 and departing on Tuesday July 25.

Students will be attending a classroom site and various excursions, while learning English and American culture: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with me, the teacher representative).

Host Families responsibilities are to drop off / pick up the student at the classroom site (perhaps you can carpool with other families), provide meals at night, sometimes a sack lunch, a bed to sleep on, become a part of your American family during their stay!

If you or anyone you know is interested in hosting a Spanish student during June 27^th to July 25^th please contact:
