SAVE presents a monthly story hour that includes music and crafts.

Join us for our annual maple sugaring event. Watch us tap trees, cut wood and boil the sap into syrup. You can also learn the history of sugaring and see a demonstration of how syrup was used in cooking during Colonial times. You will also get to sample syrup on pancakes and popcorn, washed down with hot chocolate around a campfire. There will be no reservations required this year as we have changed our format. You will be able to guide yourself through the exhibits, spending as much or as little time at each as you choose. Each site will be staffed to answer questions. The admission price of $3.00 will be reduced to $2.00 if you bring a can of food for us to donate to local food pantries.

The SAVE General Meeting is open to the public. The featured speakers will include Sharon Byrne Kishida, Municipal Assistance Coordinator, Northeast District 2, Lorna Cerbone, Saugus Inspectional Services and a representative of FCR, Charlestown. The meeting will include a presentation and round table discussion on the issues of Recycling and the PAYT (Pay as You Throw) Program. Refreshments will be served.

The William Sutton Masonic Lodge - AF&AM will sponsor a blood drive for Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Volunteers age 17 and over are welcome and all blood types are needed. Donor group numbers from fraternal, civic and work groups will be credited. All who donate will receive complimentary brunch and a BWH sweatshirt.
