Spring is finally here after what seems like a particularly long winter. We'll be resurrecting the yard sales page once the weather gets a bit warmer.

Followers of Antichrist Watch may be interested to see how it has changed since last Friday the 13^th. Now it's a lot more stable and has quite a few more features. Also, to keep with our recent Web of Trust theme, it should be mentioned that it also has a WOT review page.

Yesterday and the day before we pointed out the Web of Trust reviews of a few Saugus sites. There are many more. Numerous Saugus businesses also have reviews, including (among others): Park Press Printers, All City Glass, Alarm Controls Systems, GBA Medical, Ace of Clubs Golf, All Sports Images, W.J. Roberts, and Nhung's Notions.

We mentioned yesterday how Saugus.net's Web of Trust rating had been adversely impacted by another company's incorrect report. Saugonians may find some other Saugus-related WOT ratings interesting. There are hundreds of Saugus sites so reviewed; a few of interest include the Saugus Business Partnership, ShellTown, Saugus.org, Newton's Library, the Saugus Rotary Club, and the Town of Saugus Government.

We recently got word that Saugus.net had been incorrectly listed by McAfee SiteAdvisor as a source of spam. The claim was provably false and they have since fixed it. Unfortunately, some Web of Trust users blindly observed the false positive without checking the claims themselves and marked down our "privacy", "vendor reliability", and most especially "trustworthiness" ratings there. If you have ever found Saugus.net to be a useful resource, please help us restore our good WOT ratings. Some people's browsers will actually block sites with low enough ratings as being dangerous. Voting, commenting, and reviewing others' comments will all help undo the damage.

The scheduled downtime we mentioned last week went pretty smoothly in spite of the fact that the electric company did the shutdown one day earlier than we'd been told that they would. The majority of our servers stayed up through the outage.

Saugus.net (and all other sites hosted on our servers including ShellTown, Newton's Library, etc.) will have a scheduled downtime in the early morning this weekend while the electric company works on the main electrical trunk to the building in which we're located. Currently it's our understanding that this will happen sometime between 4:00 and 8:00 AM Monday morning. Barring anything going wrong, we'll be right back up afterward. If anything changes, we'll post it here.
