The Town of Saugus has re-opened the Recycling Drop-Off Site for its residents on Saturdays. The Town will be accepting the same recycling items that can be placed curbside in our recycling bins. These items include paper, cardboard, bottles, cans, and glass containers. The Town will also be recycling TVs and computers (up to three units) from Saugus residents only. This site will be open from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM and is located behind DPW at 515 Main Street. There will be no pre-registration or fee at this time, you will need a current driver's license with your Saugus address. If you need to make other arrangements for proof of residency or have any questions please call the Inspectional Services at: 781 231-4115.

We've gotten word that the movie largely filmed around Saugus (especially in Breakheart Reservation) last year, Furry Vengeance, is now playing in local cinemas.

It's no longer necessary to boil drinking water in Saugus. However, to ensure safety, water lines still ought to be flushed first. The MWRA has details on how to do so.

This weekend a boil water advisory has been put into effect for most of Eastern Massachusetts, including Saugus. More details are available directly from the Massachusetts DEP.
