The Saugus Historical Commission Meeting will be at 6:30 PM in the Local History Room of the Saugus Public Library.

This is the Historical Society's business meeting, but as always interested members of the general membership and general public are welcome.

The Saugus Housing Authority Meeting will be at 6:00 PM in the Heritage Heights Conference Room.

Member Paul Kenworthy will be our guest for the covered dish supper annual meeting. His topic will be "Monument: Coastal Fortifications in Brick and Stone".

As part of the Masonic Health Fair, The William Sutton Masonic Lodge - AF&AM will sponsor a blood drive for Brigham and Women's Hospital, and free bone marrow donor testing for the National Marrow Donor Registry. Donors age 17 and over are welcome and all blood types are needed. All donor group numbers from fraternal, civic and work groups will be credited. All who donate will receive a free brunch and a long T-shirt.

We're having a special Service of Ordination at the Cliftondale Congregational Church on Sunday afternoon at which time we will confer on our Associate Pastor Eddie McDonald the signs of Ordination for his Pastoral vocation. Eddie is retired Navy and a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Present will be clergy from the CCCC, to include our Conference President and Area Representative, and there will be special music. A reception will follow. This is a special day in the history of our church, and we hope you can attend. Rev. Eddie will remain with us, which means we're not "sending him off"!

We'll be holding our annual informal awards ceremony for the winners of this year's Saugus.net Halloween Ghost Story Contest. As per usual we'll be handing out the prizes, taking photographs for local newspapers, and giving the winners the opportunity to meet one another. All who are interested in attending are welcome.

Kids Night is back at Papa Gino's, Route One North, in Saugus, starting Thursday Nov 18 - this weekly event runs from 5:30-8:30 on Thursday evenings. We offer great food and fun activities for your kids. We cook AND we clean up - all you have to do is show up and have some fun. I would like to invite anyone with to children to come and help us bring back this great event. Any questions, stop by or call.
