The Saugus Coalition Against Domestic Violence is having their annual walk at Breakheart Reservation, Saturday, October 4th, from 10:00 to Noon. The cost is $7.00 per individual, $10.00 per family. There will be refreshments afterwards. It’s a great way to spend a Saturday morning, with friends and family. All are welcome to attend.

SAVE & the Friends of Breakheart Reservation have joined together to present the second "It's New To You" Swap meet to help keep usable items out of the waste stream. This is a free event. No money. No bargaining. A simple swap. Bring something. Everyone is invited to bring one or more items in usable and good condition to the swap. Please do not bring any items to the swap that require special disposal. Take something. And to complete the (re)cycle, we're sure that you'll find some "it's new to you" items to bring home!

The Saugus TRIAD senior council will be hosting a special program for Saugus seniors and the disabled on Thursday, October 16th at the Saugus Senior Center from 9:30-11:00 am. Debra MacGregor will deal with the proper disposal of prescription drugs (bring your list of prescriptions), and SGT Mike Stewart will brief on the Alzheimer’s safety program. There will be stations offering the “file of life” and “yellow dot” programs, along with a photo ID station. Light refreshments will be provided.

The Class of 1963 is planning their 45th reunion on Saturday October 25, 2008. The reunion will be at The Hilltop Steakhouse on Route 1 in Saugus. The reunion will start at 6:30 with a buffet dinner at 7:30.
