As per usual, Central Street from the edge of the Iron Works to the Town Hall and Taylor Street past the Library will be closed to vehicular traffic as Saugus celebrates Founders' Day. A detailed schedule is available via the provided link.

A Founders Day tradition, the Vitale Memorial 5K road race will be run again at Breakheart this year. Runners will receive a limited edition t-short, medals and trophies, food water and raffle prizes. Spectators are encouraged to come and cheer on your favorite.

Southern Rail is one of New England's premier bluegrass trios. We were extremely lucky to get them for a Breakheart concert this year. Please plan to come early and bring chairs and blankets for lawn seating. In case of inclement weather this concert will be held inside the visitor center. .

The Tony Barrie band will entertain at this Sunday afternoon conceet. Tony has been entertaining for many years and has a loyal following for his mix of nostalgic and contemporary music. Bring blankets or lawn chairs. Concert will be held rain or shine, moving indoors in case of inclement weather

Class of 1948 is having their 60th Reunion Luncheon Gathering on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 12:00 - 5:00 PM at Angelica's Restaurant, Mediterranean Room, in Middleton, Massachusetts with a large parking lot there on Route 114-E, at junction 62-W.
