Saugus Garden Club is excited to announce that it will have a table at Founder’s Day again this year. We will have loads of arrangements and plants for sale and a raffle. Look for us on Hamilton Street next to Town Hall. Also available will be membership forms for anyone interested in joining the club. The Saugus Republican Town Committee (SRTC) will be having it's usual collection for our troops. We will also be raffleing unique and desirable items donated by local businesses to go towards our SCHOLARSHIP FUND. We will be referring folks to the new "MILITARY FAMILIES" booth to give names of any known Saugus soldiers. They are a newly formed organization to reach out to our local military and their families. Class of ’45 will celebrate 65th reunion at the Annual Reunion Luncheon at noon on Saturday Sept. 25, 2010 at the Continental Restaurant in Saugus. There will be an area reserved for us. Please make a note when returning your reservation if you wish to be seated with our Class. Mark your calendar!! Hope to see you there. Clean out the closets and bring the old clothes to use and share for the scarecrow making at Breakheart's annual Fall Festival! Children's crafts and entertainment will provide a pleasant family outing, sure to become a tradition for you as it has for so many. And Members of Saugus Action Volunteers for the Environment (SAVE) will be sponsoring a "swap meet" to help keep reusable items out of the waste stream; even collecting old worn-out sneakers and athletic shoes to donate to the Nike Re-use a Shoe program. This event takes place rain or shine. From north or south: Take Rte. 1 to Lynn Fells Parkway exit, follow Lynn Fells Parkway a short distance, take a right onto Forest Street. Park entrance is after Kasabuski Rink. Parking is available behind the rink
