Place in paper bag or tie with string and place next to bin

Newspapers / inserts
Magazines, catalogs, phone books
Office paper, brown paper bags, junk mail -- remove plastic windows.
Paperboard -- cereal, shoe, cracker boxes, etc., remove plastic liners.
Shredded paper
Corrugated cardboard -- Flatten to 2'x2' or smaller.
All paper and cardboard must be clean.
No plastic bags.

Containers

Rinse and place inside of bin

Glass bottles / jars, all colors and sizes -- Labels, lids, corks, neck rings, etc. may stay. No broken or other glass such as light bulbs, window or auto glass, dishes, glasses, Pyrex.
Aluminum, tin / steel cans and lids and aluminum foil -- Labels may stay on. No paint or aerosol cans or other metal items.
All plastic bottles and jars -- No plastic bags (not even ones labeled as recyclable), motor oil or chemical containers. No unmarked plastic.
Milk & juice cartons, drink boxes -- Remove straws & caps, flatten.
Scrap metal (no fencing) drop-off only.

Recycling Collection Schedule

Recycling bins are collected every week on your regular trash collection day. There is no longer any schedule difference between green bins and blue bins as both are now collected every week.

Holiday Schedule

Whenever a scheduled collection day falls on a holiday, that day's collection and all remaining collections for the week will be delayed one day. Friday's collection will be on Saturday.

Yard Waste Collection

Place leaves, grass, and other easily raked material in open barrels or paper leaf bags.

No plastic bags, stumps, or branches.

Three fall collections and one spring collection (to be announced; watch the Community Event Calendar for details).

There are two household hazardous waste collection days. They will be announced in the Community Event Calendar.
