Hi, I was so surprised to find this site (via the
SAUGUS PHOTOS). I grew up in No. Revere, and we always
shopped in Saugus (Cliftondale. Remember the old
5&10? And the library under the Sweetser School, with
"Mrs. Sperry, at the Library"?) I guess it's kind of a
long-shot, but from about 1949 into the 50's I took
dancing lessons from Alice McDonald, who had a studio in
back of her home on Essex St. I know Alice is no longer
with us, but often wonder about all the dance pupils, and
what happened to them over the years! Connie Cummings,
Dolly Adair (I THINK went on to the Boston Ballet? -- she
had a brother Robin) Jackie and Daryl Perry (my little
sister's middle name is Daryl, because of her!) Alice's
kids, Laura and Malcom. So many others. I used to have a
huge blown-up photo of all of us on stage at a dress
rehearsal. I have NO idea where that picture ever went
to, but I'd love to see one again!
