I am originally from Saugus, my maiden name was Horne and I lived on Walden Pond Ave off of Walnut Street. My mom still lives there. I graduated from SHS the class of 1974 I live about 45 miles west of Washington DC and I have lived here since 1981 when my first husband's job brought us down here. I have been married now for 21 years. My husband was born and raised here, a country boy, so it is almost imposssible to imagine that I would ever be able to move back home. It just seems that the older I get the more I would like to move back. I miss Route l a lot. It is nice here, but it isn't home. I forgot to mention that I have 5 kids ages 20,19,17 12 and 11. I drive a school bus for Montgomery County Public Schools which is the county that I live in. One of the things that they do different down here is that everything pretty much goes by the county as opposed to town by town and so on. I came across this website actually by accident looking for a fall picture of saugus or of the Walden Pond Resavoir that I could use as wallpaper on my desktop. Sincerely, Elaine Horne Pearre
