Hi Saugus,
Every once in a while I look at the Saugus net just to get a boost in the heart. I do return three or so times a year to visit. My mother Hazel Rogers (she owned the Rogers' Treasure Chest in Clifdendale square)is in an Alzheimer home in Lynfield (Sunrise). My brother George "Buck" Rogers also lives in Lynnfield with his wife Nancy (Orlando) class of 1969. Buck graduated from St John's Prep (class of 1967). They live between Lynnfield and Jupiter Florida.
As for me, I have no home. (oh my I am homeless) I actually spend some time in Brighton Il where my daughter, her husband and my three granddaughters live.My son Steven was killed by a drunk driver in 1991 when he was 18 years young. I was married for 32 years to my sailor husband Don Lennon. He passed away in 2000. I have been working on cruise ships since the early 1990's. I continue to do so. I had my own business for over 20 years in the Seattle Washington area. I am a professional seamstress. I continue in that profession on cruise ships. I contract out to Holland America working on the dancers and singers costumes on board their ships. I LOVE IT. I also work as a hostess for groups on cruise ships.
My companion lives in Canada. What a life I have. BUT my roots will always be in Saugus. If there is anyone out there who remembers me please email me at loielennon@yahoo.com
I am looking for Shirley Dubuque (Lawrence married name) class of 1964. She was my maid of honor.
Until I have the pleasure to return to Saugus, I will be on the high seas.
Loie Lennon (Rogers) class of 1964
