Really appreciate this site-Saugus, MA is my hometown, I was born in Melrose hospital in 1949. We (Ed & Arline, Lyndon & Dawn James) lived on Greystone Rd and my grandparents (Clarence "Bob" & Edna Giles lived on Conrad Terrace they owned the Howard Johnson restraunt and later he became a Deputy Sheriff for Essex County. Have such great memories of growing up there with my best friends Billy Short and Stevie Carlson. I happened to see a note about Heck Allen's-where we ate many a lobster roll. Saturday mornings, where for a quarter we could buy candy, ride the trolly, watch a movie (usually a Frances the talking Mule one), eat popcorn and a drink, and ride the trolly back. Good days!!!
