Saugus.net Guestbook
New guestbook entries may be added by simply filling out the
form. Before posting, please be sure you have
some familiarity with the basic conventions of netiquette. We will
ignore postings that don't adhere to these conventions, or lack last names or
towns.
We also have a dedicated area for accepting feedback if you're
looking to voice your opinions about what should or shouldn't be on Saugus.net.
Also, if you want to give feedback specifically on Jim Harrington's Saugus
Photos Online Page, it has its own dedicated
guestbook.
Finally, it should be noted that this guestbook isn't well suited for
holding discussions. For that, you may want to try one of the Saugus discussion
groups; there are different ones for different topics, with the
Saugus Society Talk
one being most appropriate for general discussions.

Hi Saugonians!
Have just returned from a 10-day visit to 18-mile Long Beach Island, off the coast of New Jersey. Beautiful sandy beaches along the shore. Watched the boats at Barnegat Inlet. Fresh fish meals! Hot weather! A never-to-be forgotten experience!
Hope this doesn't turn out to be a duplicate. Poked the wrong key and all disappeared! This is a 2nd try!

Hey Saugus, I was just there a couple of weeks ago and talk to a friend Terry who never heard of Saugus.net so I told her about it. It's funny how people know about classmates and pay to go there but don't know about this place. I love this, we can see pic of Saugus and what's going on there. I live in NJ but check this out from time to time to see who's been here. I'd love to hear from any old friends. I missed the last reunion so I hope to see you at the next one or if I'm up there visiting my granddaughter maybe I'll run into someone. Jamie (Reynolds) Conerty

It's been a while since I have visited Saugus (67), and even onger since I lived there on the Fairchild Farm (Korean War}.
Does anyone have pictures of the house before it was destroyed after the farm was taken by the city by eminent domain.
I've only got partial pictures of it, and I was too young then to remember it now...
Thanks,
Howard

Stocker boys forever! Fantastic site! Close your eyes and remember how it felt to be sixteen years old without a care in the world surrounded by your friends. What do we want to do tonight? Schools over and we can stay out late. Let’s play some basketball, naw too hot, Ok lets skinny dip in the river. Yea! Hey got a spare Lucky? Can’t smoke it when you’re swimming. Give me checks on the one you have. Let’s get some cucumbers and watermelons from Robleskies! Hey I’ll do it if you will but he has a shotgun. Heck he won’t see us after dark. OK!

Was great seeing all the names and posts. Funny how as you get older you tend to forget the names that have made life as interesting as it is. Stocker Boys Forever and my class of 1967. Great job on this site. Thanks for the memories !

Hi,
I grew up in East Saugus on Henry Street during the 40's, 50's and 60's, in my grandfather’s house. My grandfather, Bill Wilcox, was one of the first town meeting members. I left SHS and went in the Navy at 17 years 0ld. I just turned 65 last February and am slowing down at my career as a self employed software consultant. I think I have been studying and teaching every year since I left high school. I got my High School Diploma in Washington State and my Degree at U. of Washington in electronics. My masters at U. of Calif. AS I get older I find contacting friends from my roots in Saugus, is at the top of my list. Any communication would be appreciated.

My fond memories of Saugus landmarks include Kane's doughnut shop on Lincoln Ave - I lived right across the street between the Syrokas and the Farleys. I would like to find Linda Chabra or Christine Davis. Does anyone know if Heck Allen's is still serving fried clams? Is Kelly's roast beef sandwich shop still serving those awesome lobster rolls on Revere Beach? How about the Hilltop and Kowloon? I will be visiting the area in July and will hopefully return to find some of these places as I left them.

Hello
My Mother lives on 11 Cliftondale Avenue. We were the famly who lived in Saugus (Katis) with the horses. I am trying to do some research on the house prior to her and my father moving in during the late 50's/early 60's. I am particularly interested who moved in prior to the Nichols family that lived there before my family the Katis family. Any information you could provide would be helpful.
Thank you.
