New guestbook entries may be added by simply filling out the

some familiarity with the basic conventions of netiquette. We will
ignore postings that don't adhere to these conventions, or lack last names or

We also have a dedicated area for accepting feedback if you're
looking to voice your opinions about what should or shouldn't be on Saugus.net.
Also, if you want to give feedback specifically on Jim Harrington's Saugus
Photos Online Page, it has its own dedicated
guestbook.
Finally, it should be noted that this guestbook isn't well suited for
holding discussions. For that, you may want to try one of the Saugus discussion
groups; there are different ones for different topics, with the
Saugus Society Talk
one being most appropriate for general discussions.

I was just browsing for some quaint towns in your state, and recalled it's name mentioned by the Treholm family many years ago. It is lovely, quite different from the inland areas of Tennessee. I noted the aerial map, and was surprised..........a rather larger town than I had imagined. Perhaps I'll be fortunate to visit someday. The photo's portray a small town feel..............GREAT !!!
Thanks for the cyber visit, Melanie Jones

Hello Saugus.
This is a request for anyone associated with the 2003 Little League team.
I was one of the fortunate ones to be at that incredible Saugus-Richmond game last year. One of the best games I've ever seen. That game was assume!! Way to go guys! I can't imagine what that must be like to have been a part of that.
Anyway...
I am trying to find someone who might have a video or DVD of that game. I would REALLY love to have a copy as a keepsake (and I'd like to watch it again).
Please, anyone who has it, would you contact me. I will pay you in advance for your time and effort.
Thanks.

Hey everyone. I traveled all the way to Saugus, MA from Saugus, CA. Our Saugus is located one hour north of Los Angeles. We were once penpals with a 4th grade class from Saugus, MA and had to come see it in person while we were here in Boston. Very nice city and was well worth the travels. Definitely very different than California! Loved it all.

Hi Dick Allen!
In my class at Dartmouth was a chap by the name of Dick Allen. Came from Brockton. No contacts with him after graduation. 1932 was a lean year!
My tribe of Allens came over from Londonderry, Ireland in 1819 and settled in the 1000 islands of northern NY.
My dad came to Cliftondale about 1905 to help his brother, Robert T. Allen with his plumbing and heating business. After his brother died, some years later started his own business, J.B. Allen on Jackson St.
When I attended Saugus Hi it was located on the Y between Central and Winter streets. Robert Webber was principal. Had Vernon Evans for American History.
Visited briefly in Saugus this past summer.
Kind regards,
Don Allen, Class of 1928

Saugus American Little Leaguers (2003)-
I have no idea if you remember me but I'm Olivia Piccione and I was the girl catcher for the Weston team that played you last year in the little league sectionals. I don't know if you will ever read this, which I hope you do, but this is what I have to say. Well, it's been about one year since you guys made that remarkable run through the Williamsport tournament and up to the Little League World Series. I just want to congratulate you once again. You guys did an awesome job and you have touched the lives of thousands by the way you played (including myself). Your 14-13 win in the semi-finals of the World Series was one of the best games I have ever seen. Congratulations on the ESPY nomination you recieved for it. Sorry you didn't win the ESPY. Although your team eliminated mine from the tournament, you guys were easily my favorite in the World Series. I also had a ton of fun coming down to Bristol to see you guys where I talked to Craig and Yano, who I have to say were very nice. I also went to see the regional championship game in Bristol. I watched all the games you played in the World Series and I was sorry to see you lose in the US championship game. Well, I wish you all the best of luck for your futures in baseball and in life. You are all great baseball players and also great guys. Best of luck from all of the rest of the Weston Little League team. Please email me because I would absolutely love to talk to you guys. You guys are the best. EMAIL: catcher7up@yahoo.com
