of Tecumseh, MI writes: greetings from a long-time expatriate saugonian. was scheduled to graduate in 1961 but transferred out at the end of my sophomore year (a long story). graduated from a neighboring city and goofed around for a couple years then four years with uncle sams finest. traveled the country a bit and eventually married. two decades later i'm on the loose once more and finally marry my first true love (after nearly thirty years!) and come to roost in southeast michigan. i still make it back to saugus once a year to visit relatives and participate in several classic car shows (i presently have two). really enjoyed the book "a gathering of memories" enough to buy two copies; one for me and the other for my uncle (elmer j. holbrook) who graduated with the class of 1935 i believe. he resides in san jose california. i would like to talk with others who graduated in 1961 and am especially interested in getting in touch with malcolm macdonald who was in the class of 1960. if anyone knows of his whereabouts, i would greatly appreciate any information. i do custom painting on automobiles and the like and would like to hear from others with like interests. hope to make the fortieth reunion next year god willing. |
