of Kaneohe, HI writes: Second entry to the guestbook. Received the 'A Gathering Of Memories' and what a teriffic book that has something for everyone from Saugus. Like to hear from anybody who spent time or lived in the 'round hill' area during the late 40s up to mid 50s, about age 6 to 12. I lived on 8 Pearson St. Winters were spent sliding down the Pearson St. hill and from round hill. Summers were spent practically living on round hill with my friend, Ray Winter and my brother Bill (deceased since 1952). Sadly, I ran across the story of Skink in the book. I have vauge memories of that tragedy but I guess it is one of Saugus' ironies that will be remembered by many of that time period. On a lighter note, yes if anyone who has not been to Hawaii, it is paradise. If you come this way I'm in the Honolulu phone book. Anyway, back to the book and reminisce! |
