Thanks for your message, Don. I was hoping that you would see my note and respond. It's too bad that we haven't found out why Tontoquon was chosen as the namesake for the SHS yearbook. I spoke with Ricard Provenzano about it when I was in Saugus recently, and his guess is that the name was chosen because it sounds good! Maybe so. If you have any other contacts with the class of 1929 or others who might know, please let me know if anything turns up.
