We've made some internal updates to the hundreds of RDF metadata files kept here. Please note that these aren't meant to be used with a regular browser; rather they are meant to be used by automated searching tools. The changes we've made should be of benefit to those who stumble onto one of these files accidentally and should help them find their way to more useful (and human-readable) information.

As far as we know, all of the Saugus Historical Society calendars have pretty much been handed out. There may be a scattered few left here and there, though; if you know of someplace that still has some let us know and we'll post it here. The Society itself (as usual) has saved a few to hand out during its March meeting (the details of which will be posted in the on-line Saugus calendar).

Groundhog day is here, and although the groundhog supposedly saw his shadow it's expected to remain generally quite warm on the average. In fact, on the global scale, this year has so far been as warm as the warmest year in recorded history (1998) even though it hasn't been influenced by an El Niņo event. Some might even call it a trend since nine of the ten warmest years ever recorded have occurred since 1995.

And speaking of holidays, everyone here at Saugus.net wishes everyone who celebrated the New Year this past weekend a belated "Happy New Year".
