Field trips in any season will show you that even when we can't see the animals, we can tell that they have been here. In one forty acre preserve, see forest, pond, river, and marsh and the things that live there. Weekly Hikes at Breakheart

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation invites you to get outdoors and explore an amazing Reservation within the sound of a major transportation corridor, yet providing habitat for abundant flora and fauna and renewal for the two legged visitors! Join a DCR Ranger and cover several miles of varied terrain. This program may be too strenuous for children and we ask that no dogs attend. Dress for the weather with appropriate footwear and bring water and a portable snack. Ample free parking is available. From north or south: Take Rte. 1 to Lynn Fells Parkway exit, follow Lynn Fells Parkway a short distance, take a right onto Forest Street. Park entrance is after Kasabuski Rink.

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Friends of Breakheart Reservation invite you to begin your weekend fireside with a hot cup of cocoa and a family friendly movie in the Christopher P. Dunne Visitor Center. The Show begins at 7pm on the first Fridays of February (the 3rd) and March (the 4th). Join us in the Hunting Lodge Style Visitor Center located at 177 Forest Street in Saugus off the Lynn Fells Parkway near US Rt.1.Dress the kids in their PJs and spread out a cozy blanket for a FREE and G rated night out.
