We'll be working with the folks at the Saugus Senior Center to offer some computer courses there at very reasonable rates (less expensive than the past courses currently published on the Council on Aging site). If you're one of those who wanted to go beyond the current Senior Center offerings, be sure to check out the details.

The Saugus High School Sports Hall of Fame asked us to post the following:

The Saugus High School Sports Hall of Fame is seeking candidates who are eligible to be considered for induction into the "hall" for November 2004.

The main supplier of the free Saugus Historical Society calendars is basically out of them, so now as the individual sites run out of calendars they won't be resupplied.

The Saugus Historical Society site was updated yet again today, but this time it wasn't concerning the Saugus calendars. Rather, it was an update to their publications page including their new booklet: Saugus: My Home Town.

Keep watching the Saugus Historical Society site for details on where to get your copy of the free annual Saugus calendar. This item is highly collectible -- we've been told that certain past years have even appeared on eBay from time to time, and it's impossible to predict in advance which years will become valuable down the road as collectors struggle to complete their collections.

The Saugus Historical Society site was updated today with a listing of sites currently handing out free Saugus calendars.

In addition to the sites listed yesterday, the free 2004 Saugus Historical Society calendars are available at the following sites: the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, the David Carleton & Company office, the Essex Street Fire Station, Finishing Touches for Furnished Apartments, Jimbo's Auto Body, the Law Offices of Colonna & Doyle, Lucey Travel, Nikole Auto Body, Prince Restaurant, the Saugus Public Safety Building, the Saugus School Administration Building, the Saugus Senior Center, the Saugus VFW Building, and Saugusbank (both branches).

The 2004 Saugus Historical Society calendars are now available. They can be obtained for free at the Saugus Public Library, the Saugus Town Hall (in both the Town Clerks' and Collectors' offices), the Saugus DPW Building, the Saugus Chamber of Commerce office, the Saugus Iron Works, and at numerous businesses in town including (at minimum) Dr. Lobel's Dental Practice, the Elder Law Center, GCA Jewelers, Kanes Donuts, Kowalsky Insurance, Peterson Real Estate, Rossetti Insurance, and the Saugus Federal Credit Union. We'll post more locations as they become available.
