You are welcome to attend the Rumney Marsh Toastmasters Club # 8431 on the first & third Monday of each month at 2 Rice Street - Saugus Laurel Gardens, Community Room from 6:30PM - 8:00 PM! TOASTMASTERS is a non-profit organization offers a proven and enjoyable way to practice communication and leadership skills. Members evaluate one another's presentations. This feedback process is a key part of the program's success. Meeting participants also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings, serve as officers in various leadership roles and learn rules related to timing, grammar and parliamentary procedure. Thousands of corporations sponsor in-house Toastmasters clubs. Businesses and government organizations have discovered that Toastmasters is an effective, cost-efficient means of meeting their communication training needs. Toastmasters groups can also be found in governmental agencies, a variety of community organizations, prisons, universities, hospitals, military bases and churches. Sherri Raftery, M. Ed. is a Public Speaker, Toastmaster, Past District 31 Governor, Performer, Chairman of the Saugus Cultural Council, Honoree and Board of Ambassador of the Home for Little Wanderers, as well as a Mother of a TEENage daughter. The ABCs of Public Speaking workshop is sponsored by the Saugus Cultural Council and is open to the public. Sherri will share easy tips and tricks about public speaking that will help YOU get you in front of any audience large or small and give speeches, presentations, trainings, or even short toasts. This workshop will benefit students who attend Middle School, High School and College students, and adults who are currently working or seeking employment. A = Attention & Animation: (How to grab their attention & keep it!). B = Body Language: (Use of verbal & nonverbal communication). C = Cultivate Connection: (How to use ?YOU? focused questions, humor & stories!). ?Sherri was awesome!
