Saugus Special Town Meeting highlights include the passing of an article to authorize the swapping of land between the Town and a developer with the end result serving to preserve more open space on Vinegar Hill. A non-binding acknowledgment was also made recognizing the archæological finds recently made in a portion of the developer's land (adjacent to the Town's); apparently the site is significant enough to warrant possible future inclusion in the National Historic Register.
