We've noticed that lately a couple people have posted bogus events asking about real events. We'd like to point out that this won't succeed in getting any further information (we tend not to have additional information as the events generally aren't ours -- they're posted here by various organizations), won't get immediately noticed as they tend to get filed as spam, and waste our moderators' time as they eventually have to get deleted. If you've got a question about an event, try using one of the means of contact posted with the event (assuming it has one, and remember you can check back in the calendar archives if the event has already passed). If no contact information is available, the next thing to try is posting a question on the most relevant forum (for example, use the alumni forum for an alumni event, the miscellaneous organizations forum for an event held by one of the local non-profit organizations, or the miscellaneous society forum for pretty much anything else). You'll be much more likely to get a useful response this way.

We've updated the help section of the Saugus forums today to reflect recent changes made to various off-site online services.

The Saugus Area Educational Resources Information page was updated today.

We mentioned earlier that we've been considering implementing a system of user accounts here on Saugus.net (for the Saugus forums and other like resources) and opened up a discussion on it on the Saugus talk forum. So far, we've not gotten many comments considering how many people post here regularly. Do you have an opinion? Please let us know.
