We've updated the Halloween Ghost Story Contest statistics page. The charts there break down winners by region and school-age winners by school. For those who closely follow the performance of individual schools, this year saw Veterans Elementary School of Saugus widen its lead against the many other elementary schools competing for first place in the Elementary School Category, Belmonte Middle School of Saugus and London Middle School of Wheeling, Illinois each score another victory in the Middle School Category, and Briar Woods High School of Ashburn, Virginia catch up with Marblehead High School of Marblehead, Massachusetts for third place in the High School Category.

The results of the 2012 Saugus Presidential Election have been posted.

Don't forget, today is Election Day. Are you a Saugonian and you don't know your voting location? You may be able to look it up online.

We're still in the process of contacting winners from this year's Ghost Story Contest. If you're a winner and you've not yet heard from us, you probably will soon.

Saugus.net founder Eric W. Brown will be doing a reading of selected winning stories from the Saugus.net Ghost Story Contest tonight at the Saugus Historical Society House. If you're interested in ghost stories, you should drop by!

All the Ghost Story Contest results have been posted. Both Veterans Elementary School and Briar Woods High School continue their recent strong performance, and quite a few past winners have returned.
