My Scary Halloween

by
Krystal Rohloff

It was a dark and stormy night in the town of Saugus. The streets were flooding along the trailer park. I could hear sirens and see the flashing lights along with the thunder and lightening. I had a gut feeling that tonight was going to be really scary!

I heard a scream. It was my mom! I rushed into the kitchen to find a bat in there. I got a baseball bat and I hit the little creature with my weapon and it flew out the window. That wasn't all. When I put the baseball bat back what I saw next made me shake and quiver. It was a skeleton! I ran to my mother and said "Mom there's a skeleton in the closet!" When my mom saw it she screamed and then fainted. I got a wet cloth and wiped some cold water on her face. Then she woke up. It was then that my black cat, Oscar came out of my bedroom. He had really big black eyes and his hair was sticking up on end. He looked like he got the living daylights scared out of him! When I saw him I was really frightened but I knew what I had to do. I had to find out what my cat was afraid of in the bedroom. I went down the hall and turned the corner to peak into the bedroom door and what I saw then made the hair on the back of my neck stand straight up and my knees to shake violently. There was a coffin where my bed had been! I looked inside the coffin and there was a body inside. As I got closer I could see what looked like a woman with only half a face. As I was staring with horror, she turned towards me. With the scream still on my lips I woke up. It was Halloween Night! I had taken a nap so that I could stay up late to Trick-or-Treat.

It was now 7:00 PM and I had to get ready to go out to Trick-or-Treat with all my friends.

The End
