On January 22nd and 23rd, 2005 eastern Massachusetts was hit with what may be remembered as the "Blizzard of '05."

The snowstorm started late Saturday afternoon and finally stopped about mid-day on Sunday. Twenty to thirty inches of the white stuff was left here in Saugus. It's difficult to get an accurate measurement due to the drifts. Fortunately, the snow was very light and easy to move but waist deep in many places.
