Take A Technical Day

For most people today is either a holiday or a slow day at work. Why not make it a technical day? Take a little time to learn about the computer you use every day, the software that runs on it, and the Internet that connects most of the world. Check for updates on your software, and apply them. You'll be making your computer more secure not just by applying security updates, but by getting a better understanding of how things work.
