The popular free annual Historic Saugus Calendar (sponsored by the Saugus Historical Society) is currently widely available; be sure to get your copy now before they start running out in the usual distribution locations (like the Saugus Town Hall, the Saugus Public Library, etc.). As per usual (once the calendars start running out), we'll try and provide some information on sites that still have copies available.

The Saugus Area Public Transportation Information page was updated today to coordinate with the MBTA's extensive site redesign.

The Saugus Historical Society site was updated today.

The free annual Historic Saugus Calendar is now available. The first several hundred copies went into the distribution channels Friday, and while many of the places handing them out have been closed these past few days, the calendars should be widely available for the remainder of the week.

The office will be closed today and tomorrow for the holiday. However, the Community Events Calendar, Area Yard Sales Calendar, Saugus Forums, and other like pages will continue to be updated.

If you're looking for last-minute gifts and don't want to get something like a gift certificate, why not consider a copy of the Saugus book, Of Time and the River: Saugus 1900-2005? Odds are good it'll sell out before this time next year, and it's guaranteed to become just as collectable as A Gathering of Memories: Saugus 1900-2000 is now.

The Saugus Area Miscellaneous Information page was updated today.

Today's the last day of free shipping from both Amazon.com and the Apple Store for orders that are needed prior to the 25^th. If you need to purchase something like an iPod or a DVD as a gift for the holidays, you need to order soon.

If you're planning on ordering gifts online for the holidays from a place like Amazon.com or the Apple Store, be aware that there is not much more time to take advantage of the various free shipping deals they offer. Usually you'll have to make an order by this weekend if you want it to be on time and not cost extra.

We added a brief page about Saugus.net itself with links to other pages off-site that discuss Saugus.net.

The Computer Filename Extensions List got updated today.

The Saugus Area Non-Profit Organizations, Clubs, and Places of Worship page was updated today.

We provided an update on the Saugus Senior Center Computer Classes we have offered in the past. The basic news is that we haven't held any in quite a long time, but it doesn't preclude us holding more in the future if there seems to be enough interest.
