Highlights from the Special Saugus Town Meeting include the passing of articles that give the police broader powers in controlling the noise produced by street sweeping, trash collecting, etc. between the hours of 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM; and arresting people with opened containers of alcohol on private property (without the owner's permission).

January 22, 2003

Speaking of calendars, remember to get your free Saugus Historical Society calendar before they are all gone. They are currently available at over a dozen locations around town, but judging from years past they'll be gone soon.

The Community Events Calendar had quite a few manual updates today; the automated system is now almost ready to come back online. At that point its updates will be fast again.

The local business Giggles Comedy has had its web site updated today.

The office will be closed today for the holiday, but e-mail will continue to be read.

The new Saugus Historical Society calendars are available. Just like last year, they are free and expected to disappear fast.
